Water and the Health of Your Skin

Water. Essential for life. That may be an often repeated phrase, but how true. Our bodies would not make it without this substance. Clean and fresh makes possible our modern lifestyles. The clean and fresh means less disease.

One reason for this is a major chemical used to treat and keep the water clean. Chlorine. Chlorine, while killing off many organisms that you don’t want pouring out of your faucet, is not really needed for pouring over your skin. Once the chlorine has done it's job, it can be filtered out.

Filters that filter out chlorine and other substances have been available for some time. Many people have been surprised, that by using these filters, their skin is softer. When selecting such products, you have to consider your height and the position of your shower outlet. You will notice that some of these products can extend the length of the water outlet. You need to determine if connecting these devices will have you hitting your head on the shower head when attached to the filter device. You may have to bend your knees a bit when putting your head under the shower head.
